What is RFID RFID Vehicle Control System
The Central Market of Thessaloniki S.A. has installed and operates a comprehensive Vehicle Traffic and Charging Control Information System using RFID technology. The system has been developed within the company’s ERP and includes both specialized software and dedicated equipment (RFID readers, information boards, etc.). Vehicles are registered in the system (after submitting the required documents), categorized, and tagged with an RFID label.
How the RFID Vehicle Control System Works
Once the vehicle is tagged, the driver can pre-purchase entry tickets and enter the premises of the Central Market of Thessaloniki without delays, through an automated ticket verification process and without any human intervention. Additionally, upon entry, the driver is informed about their remaining entries via electronic display boards installed at the entry gates.
